PICS Collins Class Portable intercom station This ruggedised Portable Intercom Station (PICS) provides mobile communications for use in extreme environmental conditions encountered by the Australian Collins Class Submarines. The Boeing PICS is virtually indestructible, complying with a range of stringent military and commercial standards, and offering superior vibration resistance, environmental and electromagnetic characteristics. This unit functions from any Intercom Station position on the submarine, displaying superior performance in the Gangway, Bridge and Weapons Embarkation Hatch (WEH).
